Credential Vault

Credential Vault is the workspace's secure store for software licenses, API keys, login credentials, and other sensitive access details the studio relies on to operate. It gives administrators a single place to record what tools the workspace uses, track renewal dates, and manage who has visibility into each credential.

Use the Credential Vault when you need to record a new software subscription, look up the renewal date for an existing one, or audit what third-party services the workspace has access to. Without a vault, credentials scatter across inboxes and personal password managers — the vault keeps them attached to the workspace where any authorized administrator can find them, and flags upcoming expirations before they cause an outage. The feature is opt-in per workspace and requires the workspace.admin permission to access. Enable it under Features if it is not yet visible in your sidebar.

Open Credential Vault from the sidebar (labeled "Credential Vault" in the optional section). To add a new credential, click Add Credential, fill in the service name, credential type, value, and optional expiry date, then save. The list view shows all stored credentials grouped by type. Credentials approaching their expiry date appear with a warning indicator. To update a credential — for example, after rotating an API key — click its row, edit the value, and save. The vault enforces access control at the workspace level; only members with the workspace.admin permission can view or edit entries.
