Automations
Automations lets you define rules that trigger actions automatically when certain conditions are met across the workspace. A rule pairs a trigger — such as a new message arriving from a specific sender — with one or more actions, such as tagging the message or notifying a workspace member.
Use Automations when a repetitive task follows a predictable pattern and would benefit from running without manual intervention. Examples include routing inbound emails to the right inbox folder based on the sender domain, sending a notification when a new contact is added, or flagging a message for follow-up based on keywords. Automations reduce the administrative overhead of keeping the workspace organized and ensure consistent handling of common scenarios.
Open Automations from the sidebar. The list view shows all rules currently defined for the workspace, along with their status (active or paused) and a count of recent executions. To create a new rule, click New Automation, give it a name, and choose the trigger type. Configure the trigger conditions — for example, for an Email trigger, specify the sender address or subject pattern. Then add one or more actions to run when the trigger fires. Review the completed rule and toggle it active. To pause a rule without deleting it, click the toggle on its row in the list view.
